NC Trust BV was established in 1984 and was as of 1991 wholly owned by a subsidiary of UBS. In 1992 Delta Lloyd Verzekeringsgroep NV bought the shares of the company. As a result of this acquisition the company became an indirect subsidiary of the CGNU Company, one of the world's leading international insurance companies operating in over 60 countries.

In the beginning of 2001 the shares of the company were sold and the management took over control of the trust activities.
As of 2001 NC Trust BV has been independent of any bank or financial institution.
During its long history NC Trust BV has built an extensive, informal network of legal and tax experts located in the Netherlands, throughout Europe, the USA, the former Sovjet Union, India and other parts of the world.
