In addition, NC Trust offers the possibility to structure royalties through a special purpose company owned by NC Trust. The purpose of using our in house royalty company is to lower a licensor’s liability to global taxation on receipt of royalties derived from the licensing of its intellectual property.

Making use of our Dutch resident in-house royalty company ensures that the contractor is always independent to the client company and facilitates that all substance and thin capitalization requirements are met. Our in house royalty company allows for additional tax benefits otherwise denied to royalty companies that are part of the clients’ group.

The sole activity of our in house royalty company is to exploit intellectual property rights by concluding international contracts, the exploitation is not limited to receiving and granting licenses for trademarks, patents and so on, but also includes the exploitation of image rights.
